To create a single user:

 

  1. Click on   (at the top of the User List page)
  2. Enter name in the ‘User Name’ field shown. This is the unique name assigned to a user to login to the system.

NOTE: Please enter a valid username. No spaces, at least 2 characters and must not contain the following characters: < > \ " ' % ; ( ) & . Once the username is created, it cannot be changed.

When a correct username has been entered, click Continue.

  1. Complete the fields with the required information (Fields marked with an * are mandatory)


Import Users

Using the CSV Import Tool option, multiple users can be imported using Comma Separated Values (CSV).

 

  • Examinees

On the User List Page, click on ‘Import Examinees’ to be directed to the CSV Examinee Import Tool

 

When the "First Row as Column Names" is unchecked, only four columns of data are allowed by default and must be arranged in order of:

User Name,Password,First Name,Last Name

  • Non – examinees

From the top of the User List Page, click on ‘Import Non-examinees’ to be directed to the CSV Express User Import Tool

When the "First Row as Column Names" is unchecked, only five columns of data are allowed and must be arranged in order of:

Role,User Name,Password,First Name,Last Name

There are five possible roles for non-examinee users and must be typed exactly as shown:

  • admin
  • siteadmin
  • reportadmin
  • assignmentadmin
  • proctor

 

Importing Examinees or Users with Custom Headers (Attributes)

To import custom information (attributes), the ‘First Row as Column Names’ box of the respective CSV Tool needs to be checked, and custom column headers may be added as follows:

NOTE:


  • If no value for Password is defined, the password will be automatically generated.
  • If no value is entered for Email, a default email address is assigned in the form username@organizationname.com
  • Each header must have a corresponding value and vice versa. All rows need to contain the same number of columns as its header.

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Important: When importing users with the proctor role, the Site header must be included, and each row must have a value defined.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Role Assignment: This defines the type of user (and the type of access they have).

  1. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom to complete.


 

 

 

Clicking ‘Cancel’ will take you back to the User List. No information will be saved.
