Supported VoIP devices can be automatically provisioned using DHCP Options. This is beneficial in all deployments.
Contact Customer Care to receive your provisioning server settings before proceeding.
Step-by-step guide
Complete the following steps to properly configure your Cisco device.
- Connect into the device using a Serial cable, Telnet, or SSH
- Enter EXEC mode
- Enter Configuration mode
- Find your DHCP scope name by typing the following command
show ip dhcp pool
- Type the following commands
ip dhcp pool <pool name from Step 4>
- If using Cisco Phones type the following command
option 150 ip <IP Address(es) provided by Customer Care>
- If using Polycom Phones type the following command
option 160 ascii <URL provided by Customer Care>
- Exit Configuration mode
- Save the Running Configuration by typing the following command
copy running-config startup-config
- Restart your VoIP device(s)
