Step-by-step guide
Plug in the phone and boot completely
SoundPoint IP Models
- Press the Menu button
- Scroll and Select Settings
- Scroll and Select Advanced
- Ensure the header of the display shows Password (1/Ascii)
- If not, press the 1/A/a button until the header shows Password (1/Ascii)
- Enter 456 and Press Enter
- Scroll and Select Admin Settings
- Scroll and Select Network Configuration
- Scroll and Select DHCP Menu
- Scroll and Edit Boot Server
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to Static and Press Ok
- Scroll and Edit BootSrv Type
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to String and Press Ok
- Press Exit
- Scroll and Select Server Menu
- Scroll and Edit Server Type
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to HTTP and Press Ok
- Scroll and Edit Server Address
- Enter the Provisioning Server Settings provided by Customer Care and Press Ok
- Use the << or X key to delete a character
- Use the * key for "."
- Use the # key for "/"
- Press Exit
- Press Exit
- Scroll and Select Save Config
- The phone will reboot
VVX Models
- Press the Home button
- Scroll and Select Settings
- Scroll and Select Advanced
- Ensure the header of the display shows Password (123)
- If not, press the Mode button and Select 123
- Enter 456 and Press Enter
- Scroll and Select Administration Settings
- Scroll and Select Network Configuration
- Scroll and Select Provisioning Server
- Scroll and Select DHCP Menu
- Scroll and Edit Boot Server
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to Static and Press Ok
- Scroll and Edit BootSrv Type
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to String and Press Ok
- Press Back
- Scroll and Edit Server Type
- Using the Right or Left Arrow, Scroll to HTTP and Press Ok
- Scroll and Edit Server Address
- Enter the Provisioning Server Settings provided by Customer Care and Press Ok
- Use the << or X key to delete a character
- Use the * key for "."
- Use the # key for "/"
- Press Back
- Press Back
- Scroll and Select Save Config
- The phone will reboot
