Introduction (Exposition)

(1) It was a dark morning, rain was coming. (2) Barry hated rainy days. He was an active 10-year-old who liked to be outside. (3) This was the day of the big ball game and he was supposed to pitch.

 

First Event (Rising Action)

Barry jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. His uniform was where he had left it the night before. He buttoned up and looked at himself. He was ready!

 

Next Event (Rising Action)

After eating breakfast, he climbed into the car and headed to the ball field with his mom.
