Blueprinting

Add (create) new blueprint

Step 1: Click on the Blueprints tab and ‘Add Blueprint’ at the top.

Step 2: Enter a name (required) and description (optional)

Step 3: Choose an assessment type:

Linear Assessment Type:

Linear: deliver items in a sequential order.

Linear Random: randomly delivers the items in a test based upon the blueprint instructions

Adaptive: computer adaptive test (CAT) delivery. This is ideal when the next item or set of items selected depends on the correctness of the test taker’s responses to the previous items. Adaptive testing means that the sequence of items presented to the test taker will be selected based on responses to the previous item.

o         Linear Random.

A linear random blueprint will randomly delivery the items in a test based upon the blue print instructions.

Use. Case.   The blueprint instructions below specify that the test will contain 9 items, 3 from each of the competencies, and randomize the items within each of the competencies from a bank containing 25 items.

o         Adaptive Test

Build also support computer adaptive test delivery (CAT). Please contact Vantage at  support@adaptera.com for assistance.

Test Building

Build supports the following assessment types:

  • Test.    Instructional support (hints, explanations) must be manually configured during assignment setup
  • Practice Test.    Automatically displays hints and explanations if available.
  • Survey.  Surveys include background questions (multiple choice or short answer). All of the responses are added as attributes to the user’s profile.
