GraderAide integrates advanced artificial intelligence scoring technology that emulates the process carried out by human scorers. The system must be “trained” with a set of previously scored responses containing “known score” marker papers for each score point for a specific genre and grade level.  These papers are used as a basis for the system to infer the rubric and the pooled judgments of the human scorers. The  system “internalizes” the characteristics of the responses associated with each score point and applies this intelligence in subsequent scoring.

The average length of essays submitted is based upon the genre and grade level. For example, the average elementary paper is around 200-300 words. Middle and high school papers are typically longer, 600-2000 words based upon the assignment. 

What if I do not agree with the score?

GradeAide GraderAide is designed as a teacher's tool to have more time to focus on increase instructional support, and spend less time grading papers. The immediate score evaluation allows the teacher to assign more writing and provide students with more practice across a wider range of writing tasks, including those that are aligned to state tests, reading series etc. While is is not recommended to be used for final assessment grade, the scores can provide valuable feedback for various instructional and practice activities.
